Dani (Karla Mosley) does not trust Hayley (Marquita Goings) on Beyond the Gates, this is a known fact and Dani has a conversation with Ashley (Jen Jacob) explaining that she believes that Hayley, has not only faked a pregnacy to keep Bill on the hook, but now that time has passed. She doesnt have a growing belly, she’s now faking stomach aches and is going to fake a miscarriage and blame Dani for it. Is Hayley really faking it all, or has stress caused this?

Now we are really building a picture of what happened two years ago with Martin (Brandon Claybon), and now we get to see a room full of all the players. Bill (Timon Kyle Durett) and Ted (Keith D. Robinson) (I know there is a joke to be made here), Joey (Jon Lindstrom), Marcel (Darryl W. Handy), Elon (Malachi Malik), Vernon, and Martin walk into Bill's office and see them all gathered here to discuss their mutual problem from two years ago. Martin is annoyed that Vernon has dragged his dad into this, but as Vernon soon explains, Ted has known about this from the start. Martin can’t believe his ears, but for us at home, we have already put two and two together, and could Ted have been the plastic surgeon who reconstructed a face after a beating?

Could this really be happening?

Beyond the Gates:Jacob shares his problem with Naomi | image: CBS

Jacob (Jibre Hordges) can’t believe what Smitty (Mike Manning) has told him, because if it's true, it means his dad is a dirty cop too, and that thought hurts. And if it’s not true, it could ruin his name and reputation and destroy his career. Jacob and his wife Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) discuss this, and Jacob says, “What if this is just the first layer?” to which Naomi replies by telling Jacob that his dad had already explained that. True, he did explain that Joey was part of a sting operation, but Jacob isn’t sure he believes that anymore, and the implications are huge. Jacob and Smitty need to tread carefully now.

Anita is back

Anita (Tamara Tunie) has returned from Chicago and is keen to learn all she has missed out on during her absence. Vernon (Clifton Davis) and Anita share an embrace, and Anita asks Vernon if something is wrong in their kingdom. That is a bit of an understatement; there is plenty wrong, but will Vernon tell Anita that the man is back? That Martin's nightmare has returned, and he’s had to take action? The Duprees are always stronger together. And we are going to see a circling of the wagons for the ages. Another great week is coming on our favorite soap and the best thing on daytime TV!
