In an exclusive clip of next week’s episode of the CBS podcast, Soapy hosted by Rebecca Budig and Greg Rikaart, Karla Mosley joins the legendary soap stars and hosts to talk about her role on the groundbreaking new CBS sudser taking the genre by storm, Beyond the Gates, as well as her flourishing career in television and film.

The triple threat actress recently showed off her singing chops as well, both on Beyond the Gates and at soap star-studded fundraiser “Daytime at Night.” The sky is the limit for Mosley, but she talks candidly about her career thus far and what it was like to transition from other genres back to soaps.

In the clip, Budig notes that there can be a stigma about soaps in the industry, although it’s such a fun genre to be in. Mosley had taken a break between being on Guiding Light for a year and her role as Maya on The Bold and the Beautiful, which she played for seven years. “The freedom that I feel is just making me fall in love with the genre in an even deeper way,” she explains.

“I think casting in soaps is incredible because not only do they find excellent actors, but they also find good people, and I’ve had the best time working, you know, with these families,” Mosley added. She said there was nothing better than being in the lives of her costars and being able to be in Beyond the Gates fans' homes daily as well.
