Welcome to the Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on Beyond the Gates

Where do I even begin? Was Leslies truth bombing run the biggest moment? Was it Nicole coming back to the club to talk to Leslie and tell her that Ted deserves the kind of woman that she is? Maybe even the revelation of not only Bill Hamilton being complicit, but the extent that he was and the awful words that Leslie used to describe how Bill ran her out of town and made the most heinous threats? No, for me the moment that stood out was when Eva saw no other way out but to throw her mom under the bus and called for people to remove her from the room, and that she was crazy. Now that was a line in the sand for sure. I loved that bit, Eva felt so bad for Ted and Nicole that she turned on her own mother. Everything that Leslie had promised Eva she would get once they had enacted their plan, she was watching it all slip away with every word, every sentence and every outburst. Leslie went full scorched earth. It looked to me like Leslie got so caught up in burning Ted and wrecking his marriage to Nicole, dragging the Duprees through the fire too and Bill and his daughters that she lost sight of what the overall goal was, to have Eva live the life she deserved, with her real father. Eva did the right thing and while hard to watch her get her heart broken too, it was a compelling moment and one of the best episodes of beyond the Gates this far.
