Beau Kazer was penning book at time of death

The soap opera community was saddened by the death of Y&R's Beau Kazer, but there may be light at the end of the tunnel.

Though The Young and the Restless star Beau Kazer (ex-Brock Reynolds) passed away in December, it may not be the last that fans hear from the actor. His wife, Sharon Alkus, reveals that her late husband was working on a book.

"Sadly, he was almost done," she told the Hollywood Reporter of the book, titled Adventures in Honkerville. "I will type up the remainder of the chapters and dedicate it: 'To Beau Kazer, a truly loving human being, one I hope to meet again some day.'"

Alkus also revealed that the 63-year-old is believed to have died in his sleep following two years of health issues, though an official cause of death has yet to be released.

Kazer is best known for his role as the lawyer son of Y&R's Katherine Chancellor, though he also played Dr. Bunny Willis on ABC's General Hospital. In addition, the Canadian actor appeared on shows like Hart to Hart and Barnaby Jones, as well as in the Robert De Niro film Taxi Driver (in a scene in which De Niro's character, Travis Bickle, kicks over a television playing Y&R).
