On today’s episode of The Young and the Restless, several people were surprised to see Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) back in Genoa City — but they were even more shocked to find out that she worked for Aristotle Dumas.

A corporate lawyer, Amanda threw off Nate (Sean Dominic), Devon (Bryton James), and Lily (Christel Khalil) by her presence. They had all gotten mysterious messages regarding Aristotle Dumas and didn’t know what it meant. Then Amanda walked in, and they had no idea there was a connection.

Amanda explained she was there as Aristotle’s lawyer. And that made sense, as she was a corporate lawyer, but it didn’t help the Winters and Hastings gang have any more trust. They were on edge, thinking that Aristotle was after their company, but Amanda assured them it wasn’t the case at all.

Amanda did shed some light on the Dumas mystery: She insisted he was, indeed, a man (there goes one of my many theories), and she told them that he admired their stories. Amanda was accused of just befriending them to find out more information for her boss so he could do a hostile takeover, but Amanda told them they were wrong.

Amanda then called in Phyllis as she hadn’t told her friend that she was coming to town. Phyllis was stunned when Amanda said she was part of the reason she was in Genoa City and asked Phyllis why she was trying to contact Aristotle Dumas.

Next week, Amanda is going to make her way to a conversation with Billy (Jason Thompson), who won’t be short on questions, either. But how long will Amanda stick around for, and who else will she see? Will she meet with the real Aristotle and we’ll finally find out who he is?

While we are still in the dark about Aristotle Dumas’ identity, we are getting closer to having it revealed. What we do know about him comes mostly from conversations with his employees. Damian (Jermaine Rivers) has talked to him on the phone. Nathan works for Damian and knows of Dumas and what he’s like. Then there’s Carter, who is Aristotle’s assistant and is quite good at keeping others at bay. And, now we have Amanda, Dumas’ lawyer, and representative, to meet with those who have questions.

Is it a coincidence that Dumas would hire a lawyer who was from Genoa City and knew the same circle of people who were trying to get in touch with him? Probably not. But we’ve reached six degrees of separation now — it’s time to reveal Aristotle Dumas’ real identity.
