Billy was drinking shots at the Athletic Club bar, rehashing Chelsea’s confession about sleeping with Adam. He threw some money on the bar and walked out.

Meanwhile, Adam looked worried as he recalled sleeping with Chelsea and lying about it to Sally. He reread Chelsea’s message on his phone, notifying him that she'd told Billy the truth. Adam headed for the door but stopped when Sally asked him where he was going.

Adam lied to Sally that he'd forgotten his tablet at the office and needed to get it. Adam said nothing was wrong; he was just feeling guilty for falling behind at work. He told Sally to go back to bed, and he’d return soon—but when Adam opened the door, Billy was there.

Adam tried to stop Billy from talking, to no avail. Billy told Adam that Chelsea had the courage to tell the truth, but Adam didn’t. Adam demanded that Billy leave, as he was drunk, but Sally said she wanted him to stay. Billy said that Adam didn’t do anything that wasn’t self-serving, and Adam was still lying. Billy yelled that Chelsea had told him everything, and he could tell by Sally’s face that Adam had told Sally nothing.

Billy told Adam that Sally had defended him the entire time, and Adam should be honest with her. Before he left, Billy apologized to Sally for finding out that way. Sally screamed at Adam that he had lied to her face. Adam kept trying to cover himself and said Billy was lying. Sally demanded that Adam tell her the truth immediately, or she would walk out the door and never return.

Reluctantly, Adam admitted that everything Billy had said was true, and he told Sally he was sorry. Adam explained his version of what had happened the night that he'd slept with Chelsea. He said that he and Chelsea had opened a bottle and had had too much to drink, which had led to them sleeping together. Adam swore it meant nothing, and both he and Chelsea had known immediately that it had been a mistake. Sally said when she'd asked Adam point-blank, he'd lied, and when she'd begged him to tell the truth, he'd doubled down. Adam said he'd been afraid to lose her. “Billy’s right—you are a coward,” Sally said.

At Crimson Lights, Billy ran into Chelsea. He told her he'd had a couple of drinks and confronted Adam. Billy said it could have gone worse, and no punches had been thrown. Billy noted that Adam hadn’t seemed surprised to see him, so Chelsea admitted that she'd given Adam the heads-up that she'd told Billy the truth. “How considerate of you,” Billy said.

Chelsea said she and Adam shared a son and needed to maintain a civil relationship. Chelsea knew she should have told the truth like she'd wanted to from the start. Billy said that Sally would have a hard time forgiving Adam "for this one." “What about me?” Chelsea asked. Billy said he didn’t know if he could forgive her.

Traci took Alan to the jazz club, and he announced that he would find a place in Genoa City. Traci worried that Alan felt pressured by her family and that he would prefer to live in New York. Traci said she didn’t want Alan to regret giving up everything meaningful in his life to live near her. Alan told Traci their wires were crossed, but he would fix that.

Alan told Traci that she had changed his life for the better, and wherever she wanted to live, he would, too. They discussed what life looked like for her in New York compared to Genoa City. Traci said in New York, she had her own identity, and in Genoa City, she was tied to her family.

Traci said that she had sacrificed her own needs for love before and worried that Alan was doing the same. Alan said he was grateful they had found each other, and he wanted to make her happy. Traci said she wanted to give Alan the world, as well. Alan said that he could do speaking engagements in Genoa City, and he thought he could write a book about his brother. Traci thought it was a great idea, and she would support him if he did. After a spin on the dance floor, Alan and Traci went to his room.

At the hospital, Nick tried to get Faith to wake up, while Lucy awakened with Daniel and Heather at her side. Lucy panicked when she remembered she had been in a car accident with Faith, and she wanted to know if her friend was okay.

Sharon worried that the hospital hadn’t checked Faith for internal bleeding, and she wailed to Nick that their daughter had to survive. Sharon and Nick were relieved when Faith began to awaken. Nick opened the curtain so Faith and Lucy could see one another. Lucy cried that everything was her fault, and she begged Faith to say she was okay.

Faith told Lucy it had just been a horrible accident but that she was all right. Faith didn’t want to talk, and she thought they both needed rest. Nick and Daniel left to find a doctor, and Sharon shut the curtain. Separately, Sharon and Heather asked their daughters to tell them what had happened.

Faith and Lucy each described the same story to their moms. Lucy had asked for Faith’s help after Lucy had drunk vodka in the park. She had wanted Faith's help to get back home before Lucy’s parents had found out she was gone. When Faith had been driving Lucy home, Lucy had started to throw up. Faith had reached into the backseat for a towel, and that was when she'd lost control of the car and crashed.

The doctor told Nick and Daniel that Lucy had alcohol in her system, but Faith did not.

Faith apologized to Sharon, and she was sympathetic that the experience was traumatizing for her parents. Faith said it was Sharon’s worst nightmare, but Sharon said she was just worried about Faith. Sharon wanted to take every precaution to ensure that Faith was all right. Faith said she was very tired and just wanted to go home.

The hospital staff determined that Faith needed to spend the night for observation, but they wanted to run more tests on Lucy. Lucy realized that Daniel knew about her drinking, and she asked if she was in trouble.

Faith told her parents she should have been more careful, and she felt stupid for taking her eyes off the road. As she watched Faith rest, Sharon had a flashback of Cassie in the hospital bed after her car accident. Sharon said she wanted to step out for a second, and she walked off in a daze. Faith asked Nick to look out for Sharon, as Faith worried Sharon was being triggered by memories.

Sharon stumbled down the hospital hallway, crying. “Faith’s right, isn’t she? It’s all so similar. Car accident, drinking, Daniel Romatlotti—it all leads back to Cassie, doesn’t it,” Cameron’s ghost said to Sharon.
