We haven't seen any baby drama on The Young and the Restless since Adam and Sally lost their baby in 2023. Since then, none of the Y&R ladies has been pregnant. Sure, there's plenty of drama on the show as it is, concerning Cane's AI program that Phyllis stole and the L.A. mystery storyline. But maybe we could use some baby drama again, since it's been so long.
Here are four possible Y&R characters who could become pregnant:
Sally Spectra on The Young and the Restless

Sally (Courtney Hope) already has a lot on her plate, as she and Billy (Jason Thompson) are about to launch Abbott Communications again. Besides, the couple is in a committed relationship, and she is faithful to him. If Sally got pregnant, then there would be no question that he's the baby's father. So a baby for Sally wouldn't bring any "who's the daddy" drama to her storyline.
Besides, she's probably going to have enough drama in her life once Audra's (Zuleyka Silver) L.A. secret comes to light. Sally may regret hiring her. Abbott Communications could take a huge hit, which means Sally's career may very well go up in smoke, along with Audra's. So even though it's possible that Sally and Billy could have a child together, it might not make sense for the Y&R writers to go in that direction at the moment. There's too much going on. Maybe down the road?
Chelsea Lawson

Now that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam (Mark Grossman) have reunited and are happy together, is there another baby in their future? Everything is going well in their relationship. They work together at Newman Enterprises, and they've been doing a good job parenting their son Connor (Judah Mackey) and helping him through his struggles with obsessive compulsive disorder. So they're in a similar position as Billy and Sally. Their storyline is already full, and a baby wouldn't really add drama to it.
But if Adam and Chelsea did have another baby, maybe that would get them thinking about remarrying. That would make Victor (Eric) happy, as he's become a Chelsea fan this past year. And it would give the Newmans another wedding to celebrate. We haven't had one since Abby (Melissa Ordway) married Devon (Bryton James) in 2023.
Tessa Porter

Now that Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) has admitted to Daniel (Michael Graziadei) that she is falling in love with him, we see huge potential for a baby down the road. Her marriage to Mariah (Camryn Grimes) has been in limbo for months. Tessa is starting to feel genuinely torn between her love for Mariah and her growing feelings for Daniel. Tessa and Daniel have already kissed, and she even had a dream that they were about to have sex in her hotel room. Big things are brewing in this storyline. Could a baby be one of those things?
What if Tessa and Daniel get caught up in their feelings one night and have sex? Shortly afterward, Mariah feels emotionally strong again after her confrontation with Ian Ward's (Ray Wise) hallucination. And then, she comes home to Tessa. What if Tessa decides to work things out with Mariah, while keeping her night with Daniel a secret -- and then she discovers she's pregnant? That could provide some explosive drama for all three people involved.
Claire Newman

The Young and the Restless fans already speculate that Claire (Hayley Erin) is going to end up pregnant, now that she slept with Holden (Nathan Owens). But the thing is, even though she has two love interests, it doesn't seem like it will be a "who's the daddy" storyline. She hasn't slept with Kyle (Michael Mealor) in months. So, unless she's been pregnant by Kyle all this time and still doesn't know it, then Holden would be the baby's father.
The only way Kyle could be the father is if Claire comes back from her L.A. trip and reconnects with Kyle one night. They could reminisce about the happy moments from their relationship, then one thing might lead to another...
But if Claire really does wind up pregnant from her passionate night with Holden, then Kyle is going to have an absolute fit about two things: finding out she slept with Holden and then finding out she's pregnant by him. If that's where the Y&R writers are going with this storyline, then the episode where Kyle finds out is going to be must-see TV! The guy's been knocking himself out, trying to win her back. Will he find out, in the end, that it was all for nothing?
