Not again! A CBS soap will be pre-empted on Tuesday, May 6th and Wednesday, May 7th, this coming week due to CBS Sports coverage of the UEFA Championships.
Will The Young and the Restless be pre-empted?

Every now and then, soap fans have to put on their big person pants and find a way to get through the week with some pre-empted episodes of their favorite shows — and unfortunately, that time has come again. Hopefully, soccer fans who are anticipating the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League, appreciate our sacrifice. And we get it, right now you’re crossing your fingers and hoping you won’t be kicked out of Fairmont Crest, Genoa City, or fake L.A. for a couple of days.
Unfortunately, if you’re a fan of Beyond the Gates, then you’re going to have to miss out for a couple of days this week. But, just like last week, that doesn’t mean you’ll miss episodes, there will just be a little delay. And weren’t they worth it? What a short week it was!

For those who aren’t a fan of both European football and daytime serials, the UEFA Champions League is an annual competition featuring Europe's top club teams. The 2024-2025 UEFA Champions League season began last July, but the semi-finals will interrupt our daily visit to Fairmont Crest. On Tuesday, May 6th and Wednesday, May 7th, Beyond the Gates will be pre-empted for CBS Sports coverage of the UEFA semi-finals.
Beyond the Gates, just like The Bold and the Beautiful and its sister show The Young and the Restless, can be viewed weekdays on CBS and streamed live and on demand on Paramount Plus when it returns to its regular scheduling on Thursday, May 8th.
Can't wait til Monday? We got you! Click here for previews of what's to come next week on The Young and the Restless, Beyond the Gates, and The Bold and the Beautiful.

About the UEFA Semi-Finals
The teams that made it to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals are Arsenal, Barcelona, Inter, and PSG. Arsenal advanced by dominating Real Madrid in the Quarterfinals; manager Mikel Arteta's squad denied Real Madrid a chance for its second straight, and 16th overall, UCL trophy. Elsewhere in the Quarterfinals, Barcelona handled Dortmund; Inter edged Bayern; and PSG held off Aston Villa.
In the semi-finals bracket, Arsenal is pitted against PSG, and Barcelona against Inter. The two teams that survive the semi-final round will meet in the 2025 UEFA Champions League Final.
This season marked the inaugural run of the expanded League Phase format. The new format was designed to introduce more competitive matches throughout the entirety of the competition, as top clubs go head-to-head more often and earlier in the tournament.
