Hevon can't wait: The Young and the Restless star Mishael Morgan previews Amanda's return 

She's gone from our screens but never our hearts. And, now, Mishael Morgan isn't even gone from our screens. The Daytime Emmy-winning actress is headed back to The Young and the Restless later this week.

Mishael Morgan is back on The Young and the Restless

Morgan last appeared as Amanda on The Young and the Restless in March 2024. The character first hightailed it out of Genoa City following the revelation that her love interest Devon (Bryton James) had taken up with Abby (Melissa Ordway). The last thing that Abby and Devon need right now is the return of his former flame. However, it's the No. 1 thing that soap fans would like to see as Amanda could potentially bring some conflict to the newlyweds.

As Amanda's an attorney, there's always the chance she'll be representing some high-powered business folks. Recently, the actress teased to TV Insider that that's just what she'll be doing.

Witness for the prosecution

The Young and the Restless told her, Morgan said, "'We’d love to bring Amanda back to Genoa City. There’s a great storyline that we want her to be a part of." Fortunately, the actress had recently wrapped her Hallmark movie series, Hearts Around the Table, so the timing was perfect. "Let's do it!" she enthused.

"Well, she’s always representing somebody, and she represents high-powered people in society," Morgan continued. "So, Amanda’s coming back to represent somebody very mysterious, definitely high-powered, and she’s going to make some waves while she’s there.” (There's speculation that Amanda's an attorney for the enigmatic, often-talked-about Aristotle Dumas.)

Amanda could shake up Devon's marriage

Upon her return, Morgan says she was reminded of the show's fast shooting pace. "I felt like I had to shake some rust off, but I would say three scenes in, I'm like, 'Okay, I'm here. I'm back, I'm good,'" Morgan said.

Is there drama to be played out on the personal front? Ordway teased on social media a while back that there were things to look forward to with Abby, Devon, and Amanda.

James and Morgan achieved super-couple stardom on The Young and the Restless when Devon and Hilary, the first role Morgan played on the show, became a duo. Their life was shattered after Hilary was in a car crash that not only took her life but also the life of her and Devon's unborn child. Later, Morgan made the scene as Amanda, Hilary's long-lost twin. She and Devon were an item until he fell for Abby.
