The Young and the Restless has told some of the longest-running feuds in the history of soaps. In addition to the Katherine/Jill war that, in some ways, lasted until the former's passing, there's another long-term battle going on in Genoa City. We're talking about, of course, Victor Newman and Jack Abbott.
The Young and the Restless, frenemies forever

Victor and Jack's feud goes back to the 1980s. Jack wasn't a fan of Victor being interested in his sister, Ashley (Eileen Davidson). Victor was furious that Jack flirted shamelessly with his wife, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott).
The animosity reached epic proportions when Victor assumed controlling interest in Jabot. Essentially, the Abbotts reported to Victor when it came to their formerly family-owned company. Jack wed Nikki, hoping to use her as leverage to regain Jabot. That backfired when Jack fell in love with Nikki for real.
Meanwhile, Victor finally proposed marriage to Ashley (then, Brenda Epperson), and the two played house in Victor's penthouse. Their union, alas, only lasted a short time. Jack and Nikki eventually split, but Victor fell in love with Hope Adams (Signy Coleman), a blind farm girl. They were married and she gave birth to their son, Adam (Mark Grossman).
Have a heart

Forget about marriages and the next generations of Abbotts and Newmans dating each other. There's nothing that bonds the Abbotts and the Newmans more than the fact that Victor's heart (yes, he has one) was donated to him by a brain-dead Colleen Carlton (Tammin Sursok), once Traci (Beth Maitland), Colleen's mom, signed off on the transplant.
Jack and Victor need an ambassador to referee their squabbles. We nominate Traci to step in between the two men and remind them that their feud needs to be retired. Traci can — and should — add that Victor wouldn't even be alive if it weren't for the Abbott family.
Would this work? Maybe! Recently, Victor took Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Nikki's words to heart, and he changed his mind about trying to oust Kyle (Michael Mealor) from Claire's (Hayley Erin) life. Perhaps if Traci steps in and makes an emotional plea, Victor will give the Abbotts a break. Stranger things have happened!
