The Young and the Restless stars took time out of their taping schedule to play a holiday version of "This or That," in which they are asked if they'd prefer one thing over another. And their answers may surprise you!

“Hi, I'm Peter,” began Peter Bergman (Jack), who was sitting with Susan Walters (Diane) at the Gena City Athletic Club set, as they kicked off the show’s holiday edition of This or That. Asked if they’d rather cook the meal or clean the dishes afterwards, Bergman replied, “Clean the dishes. Always.”

It’s easy to see why Jack and Diane get along so well because Walters chimed in that she, too, would prefer to clean up afterwards as opposed to making the meal.

Roger Howarth (Matt Clark; ex-Todd, One Life to Live) and TV wife Tamara Braun (Sienna; ex-Ava, Days of our Lives) were asked if they’d rather be naughty or nice. “Naughty” was the couple’s reply!

Phyllis is always one to cut to the chase, and so is her portrayer, Michelle Stafford, who answered as to whether she’d prefer to eat Christmas cookies or fruit cake. “Christmas cookies,” the redhead replied. “Does anybody eat fruitcake?”

Holiday shopping can be done in person or online. “If it’s [for] clothes, I do like to do it in person just so I can try them on, but everything else? I’m totally happy doing that [online],” Lucas Adams (Noah) said.

Athletic actor Joshua Morrow (Nicholas) was asked if he’d prefer ice-skating over sledding. “Well, ice-skating’s got all the cool gear, you know, the tight pants, and the wings, and whatnot, but that’s not my thing,” Morrow responded. “So, we’re going to go sledding.”

“Totally, ice-skating,” replied Zuleyka Silver, “even if I fall on my butt all the time.” Nathan Owens (Holden) responded: “I’m going to be pick sledding because I like to make jumps and fly off.”

Tracey Bregman (Lauren) shared that, when she was a little girl, she competed in ice-skating. “Now, if you saw me on the rink,” she quipped, “you’d wonder what happened to that girl!”

Asked if she’d rather make a snowman or decorate a Christmas Tree, Beth Maitland (Traci), who was standing in front of a beautifully decorated tree, responded, “Well, look at the job I did! What do you think I would rather do?”

Additional castmates, including Camryn Grimes (Mariah), Cait Fairbanks (Tessa), Kate Linder (Esther), Michael Mealor (Kyle), Sean Dominic (Nate), Valarie Pettiford (Amy), and others, weighed in with their responses to various This or That scenarios.

Eric Braeden (Victor) and Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki) were handed the question if they’d rather open presents either on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? Braeden, who was born in Germany, said that he prefers Christmas Eve as that is the biggest time of the year in his native country.

“Well, I would like to do it on Christmas morning because that’s when all the kids and grandkids are there,” Thomas Scott replied.
