Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:

Make no mistake, soap fans want lots of conflict, heartache, and drama -- but not on the holidays! The Young and the Restless kept this in mind with today's Thanksgiving-themed episode by giving viewers a relatively peaceful day. The show deftly peppered the program with bits of drama that didn't detract from the overall peacefulness of the day, too. Let's start at the top. It was great to see Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) make peace with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). The former doctor came bearing gifts -- tea for Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott); tequila for Victor, earning a "Well, I'll be damned!" from the mustached mogul. Perhaps most surprising was Amy (Valarie Pettiford) telling Cane (Billy Flynn) that it'd be okay if he stayed at Crimson Lights and helped with the preparations for the less fortunate of Genoa City. It was very touching when Nate (Sean Dominic) told Amy she was a member of the family. Meanwhile, the Abbotts hit Thanksgiving out of the park by welcoming Sally (Courtney Hope) and Claire (Hayley Erin) into their home. It was touching watching everyone say what they were grateful for. Just out of curiosity, which mother was Harrison (Redding Munsell) referring to when he said he was thankful for his mom? Tara (Elizabeth Leiner) or Summer (Allison Lanier)? The day of thanks wasn't without total snark. Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Lily (Christel Khalil) exchanged some barbs. And Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) gave shoutouts to the absent Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Noah (Lucas Adams), but what about Noah's mom, Sharon (Sharon Case)? Didn't Sharon and Nikki, along with Victoria (Amelia Heinle), bond when the latter two comforted the former in Los Angeles?
