The Young and the Restless aired its 13,000th episode last week, and the show celebrated with a new set — the recreation of the original ranch house. The newly rebuilt Newman home was also the venue for Abby and Devon Hamilton’s wedding on the historic episode.

When the episode was filmed, the cast and crew knew it was going to be a long day. Behind the scenes, Joshua Morrow (Nick Newman) took advantage of the large presence of co-stars who would be on set that day and filmed himself playing a game with them.

“While filming #YR's 13,000th episode, we gave Joshua Morrow the very important task of creating a game for our stars 😂 He did not disappoint!"

Morrow explained, “We’re gonna be here all day, but we’re gonna make it happen. And I thought I’d play a nice game: Marry, Kill, ‘Make a sandwich with.’ That’s what I’m talking about. Who’s going to make a sandwich with who?”

Morrow’s tongue-in-cheek version of “Marry, Shag, Kill” didn’t go unnoticed by sister show’s The Bold and the Beautiful account on Instagram, which teased:

“What does make a sandwich mean?”

The game got off to an awkward start when Morrow posed the question to Hayley Erin, who plays Claire on the show. She said she would marry Kyle and kill Audra, which Morrow agreed with. But then suggested she’d make a sandwich with her mom, Victoria (Amelia Heinle), causing Nick to make a hilarious side-eye to the viewers. Even funnier, a moment later, it occurred to Hayley what the innuendo actually meant, and she laughed as her eyes widened, realizing her mistake.

Next, Christel Khalil (Lily Winters) and Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott) bantered with Morrow. Khalil conveniently overlooked Thompson when choosing her answers and complimented Morrow instead.

But wait, there's more

Morrow clearly spent a lot of the downtime asking the question to everyone he could. In another video posted, a new collection was shared, and a segment with Morrow taking his turn to answer the question was included.

The second installment was captioned:

“Who's ready for "Marry, Kill, Make A Sandwich With" Part 2?”

Some fans wondered if Allison Lanier (Summer Newman) was giving away a little hint for the future when she said that her character would kill Diane and that “she’s gonna marry Kyle again.” Lanier added that it was a “boring” response but endearingly indicated she was a fan of “Skyle.”

While Jess Walton (Jill Abbott) quipped that there wasn’t anyone old enough on the show for Jill to marry, Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) refused to answer, pretending to be “serious” before slipping in a wink to the camera.

Morrow caught the fans’ attention by saying that Nick would “make sandwiches” with Lily. Morrow added that she was “the only woman in town I’ve yet to make sandwiches with.” Fans reacted quickly by saying that they liked Nick and Lily’s chemistry, thought they were a great match, and would love to see them together.
