The Young and the Restless' Melissa Ordway cleans up

On The Young and the Restless, Melissa Ordway’s Abby Newman has life under control. She owns and runs Society, is a newlywed bride to Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), and is a mom to little Dominic.

In real life, she and her husband, Justin Gaston (ex-Chance Chancellor), shared a glimpse into their daily life in a hilarious way.

On Instagram, Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman) posted a video of her putting clothes in the washing machine but being called away by one of the kids. As she passed her husband (and former co-star on The Young and the Restless), Justin Gaston, she asked him to simply throw a laundry detergent pod into the washer for her. He said it was no problem but asked where they were stored. Ordway looked quizzically at him before telling him they were in the laundry room, above the washing machine.

Melissa walked away, trusting Justin with the task. However, when he looked through the laundry room cupboards, he couldn’t find them at all, even though they were in plain view. He came close, selecting a package next to the pods, but then called out to his wife to ask again where they were instead.

Thirty minutes later, Melissa returned only to be told he couldn’t find them. She walked into the laundry room and immediately pulled them out of the cupboard. She called in her husband to show him, and he insisted that they weren’t there when he had looked.

Ordway captioned the skit with “WHY CANT HUSBANDS FIND ANYTHING?! It will be right in front of their faces and they still can’t find it. Then I walk in and find it right away… @jmichaelgaston I need some answers. If you can relate, let me know! 😂”

Justin Gaston laughed when he saw the post, saying, “Ha ha ha… you’re sooooooo funny. I honestly wish this wasn’t true.. but sadly it is.”

Co-stars Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea) and Michelle Stafford (Phyllis) laughed, and Ordway responded, “Sad but true.” Friend and fellow actor Adam Thuss (Nikolas Cassadine, General Hospital) quipped, “Alright these videos are seriously amazing lol. I need a full sitcom lol” to which Justin asked if he would direct it, and Melissa chimed in, “only if you’re in it with us!”
