Esther (Kate Linder) is usually a chatterbox (and sometimes a wealth of unintended information), but Claire (Hayley Erin) isn't in the mood for talking. Claire and her mom, Victoria (Amelia Heinle), were supposed to be at Cole's (J. Eddie Peck) hospital bedside in Chicago. Why are they back in Genoa City — and where is Cole?

Claire has a lot on her mind, and Esther has kind words when she learns why she's upset.

Claire isn't too happy that she can't reach Kyle (Michael Mealor) by phone. Worse, he hasn't tried to reach her, either...or so she thinks. With no cell service in the French Riviera, she has no idea what her boyfriend is up to — or why he hasn't called to check in on her and her dad. Nate (Sean Dominic) has heard from Devon (Bryton James), Lily (Christel Khalil), or Damian (Jermaine Rivers), either.

Claire's world is rocked when Nate reveals that Audra (Zuleyka Silver) is also at the estate, where Kyle is. Did Kyle forget to tell her that detail when he asked Claire if she minded if he went away?

Is Claire choking? Or is she getting choked up? There's so much for her to be upset about.

At Society, Claire is on the phone. Is she leaving a message for Kyle (again) — or did they finally connect?
