Nick's been lending emotional support to Phyllis on The Young and the Restless, but soon, his attention will be shifting towards Sharon, his other ex-wife. Josh Griffith, Y&R's head writer and executive producer, is previewing a storyline that will cause Sharon and Nick to interact a great deal!
Shick on The Young and the Restless

As viewers saw when Nick (Joshua Morrow) faced a life-threatening injury in France, he and Sharon are closer than ever. Watch for that to develop further as the couple heads to Los Angeles in a story involving the return of their son, Noah (Lucas Adams).
“We’ve slowly started moving [Nick and Sharon] closer together again as not ready for a couple yet, but I think their connection has been energized, so I wanted a really dramatic way to thrust them into this new story,” Griffith told TV Insider.
The scribe felt it was the right time to bring Noah back. The duo's firstborn will be at the center of their concern, and Nick and Sharon's need to solve a mystery that's being set in place.
The story will involve other fan favorites who've been announced as cast additions to Y&R -- Tamara Braun (ex-Ava, Days of our Lives; ex-Carly/ex-Kim, General Hospital) and Roger Howarth (ex-Todd, One Life to Live; ex-Paul, As the World Turns; ex-Franco/ex-Austin, GH), and Matt Cohen (ex-Griffin, GH).
Griffith was thrilled that all four actors had been brought on to GH. He believes these well-known names will complement the show's existing cast, noting that they will propel storylines for legacy characters.
The action will shift to Los Angeles as Nick and Sharon attempt to save their son from a very dangerous situation that will involve Braun and Howarth's characters. Noah will have changed a bit since viewers last saw him in the form of Rory Gibson (who now plays Michael on GH). Now, Noah has more independence, which will create conflict with Nick.
Noah, the one who was saved

Veteran Y&R viewers recall that Nick and Sharon nearly lost Noah as an infant. He was born prematurely after Sharon had slipped on some ice. It was touch-and-go for a while, but Noah lived! Around this time, Sharon and Nick's friends, Grace (Jennifer Gareis) and Tony (Nick Scotti), had tracked down Cassie (Carmyn Grimes), the daughter Sharon had given up for adoption. They wanted Sharon to have some joy in her life, as it looked like Noah was going to die.
After Noah lived, Grace hung onto Cassie for a while. Eventually, Sharon was reunited with her daughter. They spent several years together before Cassie died following injuries she sustained in a car accident.
