Some viewers may be seeing this episode for the first time, but back in 1998, Jill Foster Abbott (Jess Walton) and Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) were at odds over to whom the Chancellor mansion belonged. Jill believed that the late Phillip (Donnelly Rhodes) wanted her to have the house. In turn, Kay felt that, as Phillip's true widow, the house was hers. The last person that Kay would ever give the house to was her sworn enemy!

Watch for Jill to crash Katherine's gala with Mr. Munson, who serves Katherine's papers. The files order Katherine to appear in court so that Jill can prove once and for all that her glorious estate belongs to her -- and not Mrs. Chancellor!

Some scenes may be edited for time, but Genoa City was, as always, bustling with activity in 1998! Nina (Tricia Cast), split from Ryan (Scott Reeves), was getting ready to go out on a date. She couldn't believe that she was stepping out on the town with a man selected for her by a computer! (Boy, didn't technology change all that with dating apps!)

Christine (Lauralee Bell), AKA Cricket, visited Victor (Eric Braeden), who was attempting to divorce Diane (Alex Donnelley) for a second time, so that he could remain with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), who had survived a near-death experience earlier in the year thanks to Victor recommitting himself to her.

Victor asked Chris if she would join his legal team but Chris pointed out that Victor already had a solid lawyer in John Silva (John Castellanos). Victor pointed out to Chris that he wanted her because she understood better than others how the mind of Diane's attorney worked -- and that attorney was Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc), who had gotten paroled and was getting back on his legal feet.
