The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, January 9, 2026, have Jack presenting Victor with a shocking offer, Nick suffering a setback, and Phyllis encouraging Cane to visit his dark side.
What's next on The Young and the Restless
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has had the upper hand over Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), his family, and his company for too long. Recently, we saw Jack remind Victor that the Abbotts had won against him as much as they'd lost. Jack is hoping that this time, it's going to be another win for the Abbotts.
On Friday's show, watch for Jack to present Victor with a shocking offer. What kind of leverage would Jack have to use against the mogul? Victor's main enemy right now is Matt Clark (Roger Howarth), who caused Nick's (Joshua Morrow) car to crash. If Jack can somehow use that as a bargaining chip, he could coerce Victor into stopping his attack on the Abbotts.
Nick of time
Nick mostly emerged unscathed following the car crash he was in after Matt attacked him from the backseat. His doctor informed Nick and his family that he needed to have surgery on his leg. On Friday's show, watch for Nick to suffer a setback.
Is the setback related to his injury? Will Matt somehow infiltrate the hospital and attempt to finish off the job? Hopefully, Nick's devoted ex-wife Sharon (Sharon Case) will remain by his side and will make sure that he receives the best possible care! Given the ordeals that Nick and Sharon have gone through over the last year, including Nick being injured in France (seen in the above photo) and Noah's (Lucas Adams) car accident, Sharon and Nick have never been closer!
Darth Phyllis
In Lily's (Christel Khalil) absence, Cane is likely to spend more time with Phyllis. In fact, the last thing that Lily said to Cane was that she didn't want to have anything to do with him. She's leaving town to get away from him!

On Friday's show, watch for Phyllis to encourage Cane to visit his dark side. Cane may have nothing to lose. He's already lost Lily and his company. Perhaps if Cane takes Phyllis's advice, he might regain some of his fortune. But if Lily were at all on the fence about her feelings for Cane, she'd probably not like him going over to the dark side.
