The Young and the Restless Spoilers, July 9: Jack Abbott gives Billy Abbott an ultimatum

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, July 9, 2025, have Jack giving Billy an ultimatum and Nick and Sharon teaming up to help Phyllis.

What Happens on The Young and the Restless

On Wednesday's show, watch for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to give his brother, Billy (Jason Thompson), an ultimatum. Why will Jack lay down the law with his younger sibling? Jack may be ready to hightail it out of Cane's (Billy Flynn) chateau and get back to Genoa City with Diane (Susan Walters). He and other Genoa City power players have been in France for weeks in real time and many, many days in soap opera time.

However, Billy may resist Jack's request to leave if that's indeed the ultimatum he is going to be presenting. Billy saw great potential in allying himself with Cane when he was going by the name Aristotle Dumas. Now, the Abbott Communications executive may still be seeing some value in working with Cane. Billy may know who Cane is, but the man is also extremely wealthy. If Billy sees Cane as an ally who can help him against Victor, we could see him not wanting to go along with Jack's plan to leave France.

Three's company

Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) are going to team up to help Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) on Wednesday's show. Ever since Phyllis and Sharon went through their kidnapping ordeal at the clinic, orchestrated by Martin (Christopher Cousins), they've found common ground. We're not sure they'll ever be besties, but the two women have agreed to put the past behind them.

Now, Sharon's going to put her money where her mouth is by teaming up with Nick to aid Phyllis. We've seen Phyllis pledge loyalty to Cane and even promise to throw important people in her life under the bus to help him achieve his goals. In exchange, Phyllis will position herself as a power player in Genoa City.

Will Phyllis accept Nick and Sharon's help? The fiery redhead is very strong-willed. She may be more willing to take aid from Nick. Old habits die hard, so while Phyllis and Sharon have forged a new relationship, it's quite possible that Phyllis would see Sharon's influence as a threat.
