Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) was furious with Billy (Jason Thompson) for firing her — again. Billy claims to be doing his friend a favor as he thinks she should be in therapy and not helping with his start-up company, but Phyllis very strongly disagrees. She was hurt enough already, but then she found out that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) was going to be her replacement. Phyllis put both Sally and Billy on notice and warned them that they would pay for their mistake.

Next week, Phyllis is looking for revenge when she meets with Victor (Eric Braeden). He asks her what information she was willing to sell to him, but Phyllis knows Victor too well. She tells him she’s not going to give him anything until he promises her something in return.

In the park, Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) have an emotional conversation. Tessa has been able to tell that something is bothering Mariah since she returned from a business trip, but can’t figure out what. Tessa assumes it has to do with a mistake that she made last year, and Mariah is harboring a grudge. Tearfully, Mariah admits that Tessa isn’t the one who needs forgiveness. What did Mariah do on her business trip that she thinks is so unforgivable?

A cheerful and hopeful Claire (Hayley Erin) talks to her mom and grandma at the main house at the Newman Ranch. Claire is convinced she can still change Victor’s mind about Kyle (Michael Mealor), but Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) don’t agree. Ever the optimist, Claire announces she has a plan. Nikki seems doubtful to hear it (and why wouldn’t she? The last time Claire had a plan for the three of them, it involved murder!) but asks her anyway. To Victoria and Nikki’s surprise, Claire wants to throw a party. Is this for Nikki’s birthday (and will we see Jai Rodriguez this week)? Does Claire think that she and Kyle will somehow win Victor over at the party? Good luck with that.
