Next week, it’s time to get planning how to celebrate Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) birthday. Victor treated his wife to a romantic dinner, but mentioned that he had more in store. Jai Rodriguez comes to town as a party planner named Pietro. Claire (Hayley Erin) has her own surprise planned, with Kyle (Michael Mealor) supposed to do some grand gesture to win over Victor (Eric Braeden). Victoria (Amelia Heinle) is hoping for a fantastic party for her mom, and Pietro (Jai Rodriguez) promises fireworks.

When Diane (Susan Walters) did her big reveal of the refresh she had done on the Abbott Mansion, the Abbott sisters, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Traci (Beth Maitland) were in New York together. Diane was thrilled with the reaction and praise she got from Jack (Peter Bergman), Kyle, Harrison (Redding Munsell), and Claire, but she was startled by Billy’s (Jason Thompson) emotional conversation. Billy thought that Diane had erased the memory of their father, John (Jerry Douglas), and he was heartbroken that the house no longer felt like home when he walked through the front door. Now that Traci is back in Genoa City, Diane is anxious for her reaction, but fearful she won’t like it. Traci had encouraged Diane to do the refresh and championed the idea to Jack. But will she feel the same way when she sees the finished product? Or will she regret ever thinking it was a good idea?

Kyle has been trying to be a better man with Claire as his cheerleader. But he has been worried that deep down, he is more like Victor than he wants to admit. Kyle hates it that Victor used him to hurt his family, and wants revenge. He also can’t stand taking the high road where Audra is involved, especially after she turned on him. His ego is probably also bruised for when she used him with Tucker. But despite Claire’s warnings to stay away from Audra and just be happy without them in his life, Kyle can’t seem to help himself to be drawn to the drama. Next week, Kyle meets Audra at the GCAC, at the cost of time with Claire. How far will Kyle go risking his relationship for vengeance?
