When Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Faith (Reylynn Caster) came to Victor’s (Eric Braeden) ranch house in the middle of the night and told him that they had seen and talked to Ian Ward (Ray Wise), Victor wasted no time in trying to find out what his nemesis was up to. He got his security to track down Ian at the motel and “invited” him to the ranch.
Victor warned Ian to leave town but we know he’s not leaving until his plans are carried out. Victor also knows Ian well enough to know that his threats don’t make much impact on a madman. On Tuesday, Victor vows to protect Nikki at all costs.
Sharon’s unhappy new year
Sharon (Sharon Case) woke up in a dank basement with electrical boxes, pipes, and water dripping. Jordan (Colleen Zenk) was supposed to kill Sharon but for now has spared her life only because she wants to use her as insurance while she enacts her own evil plot to get back Claire.
Nick realizes that Sharon hasn’t come home and hasn’t returned anyone’s calls. He couldn’t get any answers out of Ian but he needs to find Sharon as soon as possible.
On Tuesday, Nick searches for Sharon but that’s like finding a needle in a haystack. He might find her car outside Society, and the keys next to it on the ground. But Victor told his security team member to follow Ian. Will that lead them anywhere?
New Year, New Plan
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) struggled through the holidays watching everyone else be happy while she felt her life was falling apart. Phyllis was pretty much obsessed with ensuring Sharon went down for what she did, but Billy suggested she channel the energy elsewhere, somewhere that she wasn’t guaranteed to have it bite so hard.
Billy (Jason Thompson) suggested Phyllis put her talents to use working with him to get back Chancellor, but Phyllis didn’t want that just for herself or for Billy. Phyllis wanted to take care of Daniel (Michael Graziadei), whose life has fallen apart. She wanted to find a way for Daniel to be employed again to help as a first step to helping him piece his world back together. On Tuesday, Phyllis strikes a deal with Billy.
January Birthdays:

January 20: Colleen Zenk (Jordan)
