Lucas Adams is set to make his debut on The Young and the Restless as Noah Newman on Tuesday, November 4, according to the October 16 issue of TV Guide magazine. But this isn't the first time he'll be appearing on the top-rated soap. The actor did a guest spot on the CBS series back in 2012 when American Idol finalist Diana DeGarmo was on the series.
The Young and the Restless, origins

Adams believes that he's hit the jackpot in terms of TV parents. On Days of our Lives, he had Stephen Nichols (Steve) and Tamara Braun (ex-Ava) as his dad and mom, and Mary Beth Evans (Kayla) as his stepmom.
Now, not only is he reunited on Y&R with Braun (who plays Sienna) at his new job, but he feels pretty lucky to be playing the son of Sharon Case (Sharon) and Joshua Morrow (Nicholas).
"Sharon and Joshua are super cool," Adams tells Soap Central. "Josh grew up in Oklahoma, not that far from me. We're both big into sports. I really am like their son. They're really sweet. Everyone over there really is."
Familiar territory
While Lucas's Noah is in a hospital bed in Los Angeles, he'll find Genoa City very familiar when he returns -- in more ways than one. "Being cast on Y&R is a full-circle moment," he says. "My first full speaking role was on Y&R [in 2012]."
That's when Diana DeGarmo, an American Idol finalist, was on Y&R as singer Angelina Veneziano, who was involved with Kevin (Greg Rikaart). Adams was cast as Wesley, a fan of Angelina's who asked for a photo. (This was before "selfies" were big, so Wesley just snapped a solo shot of Angelina.)
"Angellina, I can't believe it's you!" Wesley told the singer. After Kevin left the table, Angelina stood up and asked Wesley, "What's your name, handsome?" Adams replied: "Wesley." Then, Angelina posed for her admirer's photo.
"Greg was in the scene and he ended up on DAYS as Leo," Adams shares. "Small world. It's all been really fun."
After that first Y&R appearance, Adams went on to make appearances on Dexter, Madden Girl, True Blood, Grimm, and Recovery Road. He made his DAYS debut as Tripp Dalton, Ava and Steve's son, in 2017.
