The Young and the Restless star Michelle Stafford pays tribute to her sister during breast cancer awareness month

Later this month, The Young and the Restless star Michelle Stafford, who plays Phyllis, will find out if she's won another Daytime Emmy as she's nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in Drama Series at this year's awards. Last month, she picked up another award at the Daytime Beauty Awards.

Stafford accepted the Outstanding Achievement in Skincare award at the 7th Daytime Beauty Awards, which honors "science behind beauty." As Stafford's supporters know, the actress devised her Skin Nation line after her sister was diagnosed with breast cancer.

"Thank you!! @micheleelyzabeth @pamelaericaprice @daytimebeautyawards," Stafford said in her speech that she shared on Instagram. "Unfortunately, my thanks to you were cut off. Hopefully you have video [of] me thanking you!! You have been so incredibly supportive. So supportive of clean brands. So supportive of new brands.

"You truly understand what it takes for a company to survive, and I love you for that..." Stafford continued, "Thank you for being so incredible to this industry of artists and business people💛 I can’t eloquently tell you how much you mean to me. One day I’ll figure it [out]! I am so grateful for both of you. @skinnationbeauty."

Giving thanks

Stafford gave a shoutout to her sister for being her "inspiration" and for being "such a badass warrior."

"In honor of [breast cancer awareness month], this says it all!" Stafford shared on Instagram. "I hope for anyone who is in this fight… that you, too, make Cancer your bitch👊🏼🩷 @jjbakes3d Thank you @daytimebeautyawards again for this HUGE honor, not only for me but for my company as well. @skinnationbeauty 🙏🏼."

"Much respect to you for your beautiful words about your sister," @payitfwdrecruit2 wrote in response. " I’m a 22-year breast cancer survivor. Cancer was my bi*ch too. Much love to all the warriors out there. ❤️💪🏻🙏."

"Congratulations!" added @robertdnorris. "My sister is a breast cancer survivor. 👏👏👏."
