A native of Miami Springs, Florida, Carrigan was an All-Star wrestler in high school and an NCAA Division 1 wrestler and CAA Conference Finalist in college.

Along with being a professional boxer, Carrigan has taken to the stage to do standup comedy. He made his soap opera debut on The Young and the Restless in 2013 as Dr. Ben "Stitch" Rayborn, a buddy of Dylan's (Steve Burton, who has since reprised his role as Jason on GH).

Corrigan's other credits include the TV series American Vandal, Lucifer, Grey's Anatomy, Hart of Dixie, and Modern Family. He starred in Lifetime's Call Me Crazy opposite Jennifer Hudson, an Oscar winner for Dream Girls and host of The Jennifer Hudson Show.

The actor can also be seen in Everyone Is Doing Great as Michael Niccoli, and in Demonetize as Martin.

After sharing romances with Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Ashley, Stitch fell in love with and married Abby (Melissa Ordway). Their marriage dissolved after she suffered a miscarriage after Stitch's son, Max (Jared Breeze), came to Genoa City and caused Abby to fall. Max had a tumor removed and was placed in a long-term care facility. Stitch and Abby's marriage did not survive.

He returned to Genoa City a few years later and was dealing with some emotional issues of his own. Stitch kidnapped Mariah, but he left town before charges could be filed.
