Soap Central is pleased to wish Courtney Hope a very happy birthday today. The popular actress not only has fans from starring on The Young and the Restless, but also from her days on The Bold and the Beautiful.
Courtney Hope of The Young and the Restless
On The Young and the Restless, Courtney Hope entertains fans as the always daring Sally Spectra, a crossover character from The Bold and the Beautiful. Named after her grandmother, the legendary, fiery, redheaded OG of the same name, Hope has brought just as much entertainment and laughs to the screen as her version of Sally.
Off-screen, Hope has had quite the year. She learned the trapeze, shared her fitness journeys, and was evacuated from the L.A. fires, only to have them appear near her parents’ home. She was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress of a Daytime Serial at the Daytime Emmy Awards.
And those are just some of the events that Hope shared with her fans. Hope also traveled to Italy with her grandmother and visited Monte Carlo, where she was a presenter of the Golden Nymph Awards at the 64th Monte-Carlo Television Festival.
Sally Spectra on The Young and the Restless
As for Hope’s Sally Spectra on Y&R, she’s having quite the year as well. After having her heart ripped out by Adam (Mark Grossman), Sally found friendship and new love with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). She quit her job leading the design department at Marchetti and paired up with Billy on his new business venture, Abbott Communications.
But, Sally was soon questioning her decisions when Billy was distracted by the possibility of getting back control of Chancellor with the help of Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn). While in France, Sally realized that her best efforts at keeping Billy focused were for naught — so she had the business acumen and self-preservation awareness to have him sign an agreement that should he go to Chancellor, she would have full control of Abbott Communications. Not a bad deal for Sally!
