While rumors state that The Young and the Restless wants to bring Shemar Moore (ex-Malcolm Winters) back to Genoa City, it would appear that the show will have to wait a little while longer before the actor even toys with the idea of a return to daytime.
Moore, who left Y&R in February 2002, has landed a primetime pilot called Chasing Alice. The series, slated for the WB network, is a modern day adaptation of the "Alice In Wonderland" story.
Since his departure from The Young and the Restless, Moore has remained in steady employment. He continued to host the syndicated Soul Train program as well as having appeared in the now-canceled WB series, Birds of Prey. Moore will also appear in the film Greener, due out later this year.
A spokesperson for The Young and the Restless was unable to return calls for this article by post time.
