The Young and the Restless is recasting the role of Faith Newman. However, unlike some recent recasts that resulted in the rapid aging of toddlers, this recast is a little different.
Soaps In Depth reports that "[d]ue to scheduling issues, Alyvia Alyn Lind will be unavailable for an upcoming summer storyline."
Don't worry, though, the conflict isn't anything bad. Lind has joined the cast of Blended, a comedy set in a family-style resort and starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore.
As a result, Y&R has cast six-year-old Mckenna Grace as Sharon and Nick's daughter.
Lind will make her final appearance on July 2. Grace steps into the role on July 12.
