Erin Chambers out as Y&R's Melanie

The Young and the Restless has pruned one of its newest members from its roster. Erin Chambers is out as Melanie. Chambers previously appeared as Siobhan on ABC's General Hospital.

One of The Young and the Restless' newest cast members is out. A Y&R spokesperson confirms that Erin Chambers (Melanie Daniels) wrapped up her Y&R stint.

Melanie wasn't on-screen for long -- the character first appeared on-screen on June 6 -- but that doesn't mean her impact wasn't felt.

Chambers joined Y&R after a yearlong run on General Hospital, where, from September 2010 to August 2011 she played the role of Siobhan McKenna

News of Chambers' exit was first reported by Soap Opera Network.
