In September, The Young and the Restless issued a casting call for a heretofore-unknown member of the Abbott family named Andrew. Now, the top-rated CBS soap is apparently adding a branch to another Genoa City family tree.
In its latest casting call, Y&R is looking to cast a "handsome, successful and very sexy" male in his "mid to late 30s" for the role of Josh Williams. While Williams may be a common surname, soaps rarely -- if ever -- have unrelated characters with the same last name. So, it stands to reason that Paul Williams could very well be getting a relative in the near future.
According to Paul's Who's Who in Genoa City character profile (accessible under the "About Y&R" option from the navigation menu at the top of any page of the site), Paul has three siblings -- Father Todd Williams, Steven Williams, and Patty Williams. Could the new character be a nephew?
There isn't much known in the way of future story for Josh, but the casting call did offer a nugget that could foreshadow an epic showdown. Josh is described as a "smart businessman who can out-maneuver even the shrewdest."
