Y&R grants Community and The Odd Couple actress Yvette Nicole Brown's wish by casting her in a guest starring role

It looks like Community and The Odd Couple star Yvette Nicole Brown's dream to star on The Young and the Restless is coming true.

The Young and the Restless has turned into a bit of Make-A-Wish Foundation for celebrities by casting Community and The Odd Couple star Yvette Nicole Brown for an upcoming guest stint as a reporter.

The actress tells TV Line that she has practically died and gone to heaven over being called to Genoa City. "The people at CBS found out that I'm a freakin' fangirl," Brown explains. "And they were like, 'Do you want to go to Genoa City?' And I'm like, 'Um, yeah.' It was probably one of the most exciting calls I have ever received."

As for what GC shenanigans she'll be getting herself into, Brown says all she knows is, "something is happening with Jack [Peter Bergman], Billy [Jason Thompson] and Phyllis [Gina Tognoni] that's a big deal and I'm reporting on it."

Brown will be taping her scenes this week and debuting on Y&R on Monday, April 4 -- which, coincidentally, is the same week the second season of The Odd Couple returns to CBS, which it will do on Thursday, April 7, at 8:30/7:30c.
