The daytime community, mourning the death of The Young and the Restless' Kristoff St. John, has taken to social media to share tributes to the beloved actor.

Friends of St. John have taken to social media to share tributes of the two-time Emmy winner. We've compiled those tributes below. You can read more about the life of Kristoff St. John and his passing here.

"The lights have diminished and the sound around me has been muted with the exception of the sound of hearts breaking due to the loss of a great human being," wrote The Bold and the Beautiful's Obba Babatundé (Julius Avant)

In a statement, Bryton James (Devon Hamilton) said, "There are no words for my devastation. For the last 15 years, Kristoff St. John has been my other father, my friend and in the beginning, my reason for feeling as though I belonged in the Y&R family. He was an unbelievable example of strength, given what he endured over the course of his life. But most importantly, he taught us all every single day how to choose to have fun with life no matter what. I will miss him forever... His daughters Lola and Paris will always have me as family."

I've been thinking for awhile what to say. How to express my love and gratitude for Kristoff in my life. I don't know if I can ever fully express how my heart feels. I'm so heartbroken. I'm mad, sad, confused...but I understand. I'm thankful you're not in pain anymore, such a deep pain that no one could understand. No parent should have to bury their child, I'm sorry you had to. I'm sorry you've been hurting so much, I'm sorry you saw no other way... You were one of a kind. I'll never forget you were the first person who took me under your wing when I joined Y&R. You were the one who when I had my screen test, you helped me, made me feel connected and comfortable. I know part of the reason why I even got a role that changed my life forever is because of you. Your goofiness, openness, and genuine love and care you showed for other people was never overlooked. You treated me like your real daughter over the past 17 years. Between our deep conversations about religion to your goofy dad jokes, you've always had a special place in my heart. A place where a father should have been...I'm grateful I got to know you and share some of my most important moments of life with you. You will never be forgotten. I love you. I love you...??

I am so grateful to have been able to work with him and laugh with him. My deepest condolences go out to his family and especially his children, who I know he loves so much."

a sweet soul. after a few scenes with you and @brytonejames that day you caught me taking a photo behind a plastic filter that I had found on the ground and instead of laughing at me you said "wow that's so cool! can you show me?" sharing time with you was a true blessing. I'm so sorry.

Actress Yvette Nicole Brown, who guest-starred on Y&R in 2016, shared an extra-long tribute on Instagram, writing: "I am still trying to process the news that this dear, dear man is gone. Forgive me if what I say here doesn't come together just right, but I have to say something about @kristoffstjohn. He deserves as loving a tribute as my early morning sadness can muster. #KristoffStJohn was love. Just pure and simple: love. He was the kind of person you meet who you feel like you've known your entire life. He had a gift for making people feel instantly at ease. He could immediately diffuse any nervousness you had. In my case, I was a ball of nerves because I was playing my first role on a soap opera ever...on #YandR which happened to be one of my FAVORITE soap operas...AND I was meeting HIM, who I had been a fan of most of my life. It could have been a scary, heavy moment. Kristoff made it LIGHT."

In my case, I was a ball of nerves because I was playing my first role on a soap opera ever...on #YandR which happened to be one of my FAVORITE soap operas...AND I was meeting HIM, who I had been a fan of most of my life. It could have been a scary, heavy moment. Kristoff made it LIGHT. In my character, Lois' subsequent visits to Genoa City, Kristoff was more of the same. Kind, encouraging, playful, fun and present. He saw me. He saw EVERYONE. He made time for everyone. He celebrated everyone. No matter who you were. He saw you. We spent our last lunch break together (the day this picture was taken) eating with a background actor who had been sitting alone in the commissary. Not on Kristoff's watch. He called her over to join us and the three of us had an amazing time. She got to geek out and ask every question she had and she and I both properly fan-girled over the gift of this lovely man. Kristoff made that moment happen. He saw her. More importantly he felt her. He didn't want her to be alone in a new place. He did the same for me. That is who he was a man. He was just GOOD. I am heartbroken to hear that he is gone. So heartbroken. #RIP dear heart. ????

I'm at a complete loss for words right now. I met Kristoff when I was into my second month on Guiding Light. He was always so generous and kind. Rest In Peace, bro. Your family and friends are in my prayers.

Say hello to Heaven for me brother."
