The Young and the Restless is looking for an actor to play the new contract role of Jeff, a confident and driven African American set to take Genoa City by storm.

The Young and the Restless recently went through a head writing change, and the new team is looking to put its own stamp on the CBS soap opera. First step: wrap up the storylines currently airing. Next step: inject the canvas with some fresh faces.

Hot on the heels of the news that Y&R's casting department is looking for a sexy rock-'n'-roll singer named Brandon comes word that they're also searching for someone to fill the contract role of Jeff.

The casting call seeks an actor to play an African American male in his late 20s/early 30s who has "smouldering good looks." He's also a driven, strong, sexy, and successful man who has a little bit of ego along with a sneaky sense of humor.

The addition of Jeff and the aforementioned singer named Brandon comes along with a previously reported casting call for the contract role of Jeremy, which many fans are hoping will be the return of Adam Newman.

With this many new men heading to Genoa City, will the soap look to even things out with the addition of a few females, too? Keep checking back to Soap Central for Y&R casting updates as they come.
