The upcoming Hallmark holiday film Two Turtle Doves could very well have been called Two Soap Stars because it features a pair of faces very familiar to daytime fans. Days of our Lives alum Nikki DeLoach (ex-Brenda) and The Young and the Restless' Zach Tinker (Fenmore Baldwin) are starring in the holly and jolly film.
Named after a lyric from "The 12 Days of Christmas," the Hallmark movie follows Dr. Sharon Hayes (DeLoach), who is searching for a beloved family heirloom in a small Christmas town. When she unexpectedly discovers an adorable little girl and her disheartened father (Michael Rady), she realizes that Christmas miracles really do happen.
Rady shared an Instagram story that features an image of him working with Y&R's Zach Tinker, who is credited as playing Alex in the upcoming film.
While fans of Tinker are likely happy to see him busy working on Two Turtle Doves, they'd rather have the actor back on the Y&R canvas as Fen. The character is rarely seen in Genoa City these days, which has had many viewers wondering if Tinker has been let go from the show he joined in 2018. Y&R hasn't commented on his status, but the actor recently did an interview in which he assures fans that Fen will be back in the future.
"I don't know how much I can say about it, however, I am still on the show!" he says. "I think that's all I can say, technically. Fen is still on the show. Nobody needs to worry about him being gone! He's not gone forever and that's kind of all I can say."
As for DeLoach, she played the role of DAYS' Brenda from 2007 to 2009 before going on star in shows like Ringer and Awkward.. Her most recent credits include several TV movies like Love Takes Flight, Love to the Rescue, Reunited at Christmas, and Truly, Madly, Sweetly.
