The Young and the Restless' Thad Luckinbill (ex-J.T. Hellstrom) and his brother Trent Luckinbill have signed on to produce Devotion, a drama film about the Korean War starring Glen Powell.

Fans of The Young and the Restless' Thad Luckinbill (ex-J.T. Hellstrom) were wowed when the actor showed off his producing skills as one of the executive producers of the Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone flick La La Land, and he's about to wow again.

According to Variety, Luckinbill and his brother Trent will be producing the upcoming aerial war epic Devotion, which tells the harrowing true story of two elite U.S. Navy fighter pilots, Tom Hudner and Jesse L. Brown, during the Korean War. Their heroic sacrifices ultimately made them the Navy's most celebrated wingmen.

Actor Glen Powell will star as Hudner, whose life -- along with Brown's -- was chronicled in Adam Makos' book Devotion: An Epic Story of Heroism, Friendship, and Sacrifice, upon which the movie is based.

The project likely means that Luckinbill won't be making his way back to Genoa City as Y&R's J.T. anytime in the near future -- but that's not to say viewers should give up on the hope that he'll one day return. After all, J.T. has always had quite an obsession with Victoria (Amelia Heinle), and he may come bursting through her door after he's all healed from his recent brain tumor and resulting mental health issues. Here's hoping!

What do you think about Luckinbill signing on as a producer for the Korean War film Devotion? Would you like to see Y&R's J.T. come back to Genoa City? We want to hear from you -- and there are many ways you can share your thoughts.
