CBS is amping up its cross-promotion game. The network already does a lot of inventive advertising, like featuring Big Brother stars on The Bold and the Beautiful and featuring The Young and the Restless stars on The Price is Right, but its latest cross-promotional video has soap fans saying, "Whoa!"
As part of its promotion for the new series All Rise, CBS released a video of series star Wilson Bethel answering quiz questions about his former roles on other CBS series, including The Young and the Restless (ex-Ryder Callahan), JAG, Criminal Minds, and NCIS.
Bethel has to guess which lines he said on which show, and the results are hilarious. After the Y&R segment, the actor recalls his Genoa City days as the brother of Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart), a role he played from 2009 to 2011.
"He was related to everybody," Bethel recalls. "He had sisters, cousins, half-brothers, disappeared secret stepmothers, all kinds of craziness. I hooked up with my brother's wife! What a d***!"
