It looks like the crossover storyline between The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful is about to get a whole lot juicier: B&B's Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) is getting involved and will soon be appearing on Y&R!
In a new interview with Soap Opera Digest, Diamont expresses that he was totally taken off guard when the powers that be told him that he was heading back to Genoa City, where he played the role of Brad Carlton from 1985 to 2009.
"I had not ever considered that I would be part of a crossover, just because my character [of Brad] was so well-defined at Y&R," Diamont shares. "It wasn't like I was on for three months. I had never even considered that possibility, so it just kind of took me by surprise when they asked."
Speaking of being surprised, fans are probably in store for some super soapy moments when Bill makes his way to B&B's sister show; he's set to appear on Y&R the week of February 8 -- which coincides with the ever-entertaining February Sweeps period.
Additional details are being kept mum at this time, but hopefully the writers will pay homage to Diamont's long history with Y&R by making sure that Bill shares scenes with Brad's long-time nemesis, Jack (Peter Bergman) -- which wouldn't be a stretch, considering Jack is heavily involved in Summer (Hunter King) and Sally's (Courtney Hope) storyline -- or at least one of Brad's former lovers, whether it be Traci (Beth Maitland), Ashley (Eileen Davidson), or Victoria (Amelia Heinle).
As Soap Central previously reported, the B&B and Y&R crossover kicked off earlier this month when Summer traveled to Los Angeles to dig up dirt on Sally, who recently relocated to Genoa City. Summer is already getting quite an earful about her new nemesis -- so much so, King said that her alter ego is actually growing a bit fearful of Sally! To read more about that, click here.
