Y&R's Kate Linder walks fans through vintage clips of Esther

The Young and the Restless star Kate Linder celebrates four decades playing the role of Esther Valentine by showing fans a fun, retrospective video of her time in Genoa City.

Beloved The Young and the Restless star Kate Linder marked her 40th anniversary as Esther Valentine on April 8, and she and the CBS soap opera celebrated by posting a video in which the actress watches some of her old scenes and reacts in real time.

The first scene Linder views is her debut as Katherine Chancellor's (Jeanne Cooper) ditzy maid. Most fans know that the actress was originally supposed to appear in that one episode only, but what they might not know -- but will now, courtesy of the video -- is that Linder can still squeeze into her 40-year-old maid costume! "I think the uniform might still fit -- that's a good thing!" the actress jokes.

Scenes to follow include the time that Katherine and Esther were kidnapped, the time Esther performed at the masquerade ball, the time Katherine and Esther temporarily switched pecking order in the household, Esther dressing as a bag lady, and Esther finding out that Chloe was alive.

"I loved every, every second of it," Linder enthuses of her scenes. "Thank you for your love and support, and keep watching The Young and the Restless!"
