One Life to Live's Trevor St. John joins The Young and the Restless

The Young and the Restless has hired former One Life to Live star Trevor St. John for a new role. The actor is also known for two recent primetime roles.

Trevor St. John is joining the cast of The Young and the Restless. The actor, best known to daytime fans for his work on One Life to Live, will pop up later this year as well, we don't know that yet. Y&R is keeping St. John's character a closely guarded secret and is referring to the role as a mystery role.

St. John joined One Life to Live in 2003 as Walker Lawrence/Todd Manning. He played the character until 2011 when it was revealed that "Todd" was actually Victor Lord Jr., and the character was later presumed dead. In a soapy twist, Victor was revealed to be alive in OLTL's 2012 series finale on ABC. St. John reprised the role for the short-lived 2013 streaming reboot.

Outside of daytime, St. John has been seen on ABC's Promised Land and the CW's Roswell, New Mexico. He has also appeared in the indie drama films In the Family and The Grief of Others.

St. John reportedly begins taping later this month, which would put his first appearance sometime in late September or early October. When Y&R announces his first airdate, we'll be sure to post the news here on Soap Central and on our social media feeds.

News of St. John's hiring was first reported by Deadline.
