On Twitter, Grimes told fans "just call me mother."

Normally, Soap Central shares comments made by co-stars when sharing celebratory news. This time, though, you'll have to check out the embedded Instagram post because most of the responses are a potpourri of emojis and exclamation marks. Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson), however, shared, "So happy for you!!!" -- along with three yellow hearts.

Grimes and Powell are currently in the midst of planning a wedding.

Powell is a voice actor who has lent his talent to animated movies and TV shows. He and Grimes provided the vocals for Santa and Mrs. Claus for last year's Mickey Saves Christmas.

Grimes, who has earned two Daytime Emmy wins for her work on Y&R, one in the Outstanding Younger Actress category in 2000 as Cassie and one in the Outstanding Supporting Actress category in 2018 as Mariah, celebrated her 25th Y&R anniversary in March 2022.

2022 was also the year that Grimes and Powell got engaged. The couple has been together since 2020.
