The Young and the Restless resumed production last week for the first time since the show was forced to halt production in March due to the coronavirus pandemic. Until those new episodes were able to be broadcast, the CBS soap continued to air classic episodes devoted to iconic characters or episodes curated to fit a special theme. This week focused on some of the episodes that fans said they wanted to see again. A complete list of episodes that aired during this week can be found here.

This episode originally aired March 26 and 27, 1973. In the episode, the mysterious Brad Elliot arrived in Genoa City, and viewers were introduced to the legendary Brooks and Foster families. This episode combined the first two episodes of The Young and the Restless, which debuted as a 30-minute soap.

In the cab of an orange truck towing a yellow trailer, Brad Elliot sat in the passenger seat next to a driver who'd picked up the disheveled hitchhiker. Brad rubbed his face, avoiding a painful bruise and a gash on the right side of his forehead. After Brad awoke from a fitful nap, the truck driver said, "Got yourself some sleep, huh?" After the truck driver told Brad he'd slept a couple of hours, he noticed Brad glancing at his bare wrist and asked if he'd lost his watch. Brad, struggling to emerge from a fog, said it looked as if he had. The truck driver explained that Genoa City was the end of the line for him before he grabbed a bite, rested, and headed back home to St. Paul.

This episode originally aired March 28, 1984. In the episode, Katherine's bandages were removed, allowing her for the first time to see her post-facelift face. This storyline was written to include actress Jeanne Cooper's real-life facelift.

In postoperative care at the hospital, a nurse told Katherine that it was almost the big moment to remove the bandages after her facelift. Liz held Katherine's hand and wondered what was keeping the doctor. Liz imagined that Katherine was both anxious and afraid to see the results of the surgery. Liz admitted that she was nervous, too. Speaking with difficulty because of the bandages and drugs, Katherine weakly stated that change could be good or bad. Liz expected it to be good, but she warned that it might not be perfect right away. Katherine prepared to face reality, and she called Liz a friend. Liz vowed to stay there until it was all over. The doctor entered, and Liz joked that she'd been about to tear the bandages off herself. The doctor assured Katherine that they'd find out what they'd accomplished in a few minutes. He took her hands in his and implored her to try to relax.

In their hotel room, Neil asked if Dru was okay with the hotel room they were in. He apologized and said that it was a far cry from where they would be staying while on their honeymoon. Dru said that she didn't care where they were as long as she was with him. She said she'd never been happier than when she'd heard him say, "I do." Dru told Neil that she wanted them both to consider their lovemaking as being the first time for both of them, and whatever had happened in the past didn't count. She said she couldn't remember a time when she'd been happier. They kissed as Neil gently lowered Dru onto the bed.

Jack was annoyed that Phyllis and Nick had picked the next issue's cover girl -- famous singer Katy Perry -- without consulting him. Nick said that it was a "now or never" opportunity, and that he had decided to go with "now." Sharon met with Sabrina and Jana at Crimson Lights to pitch the article. Sabrina said she would love to see an article about the gallery but doubted that Nick would approve. Sabrina said that if Sharon could get Nick's approval, she would definitely green-light the article. When Sharon left, Sabrina asked Jana not to say anything about the article. This episode originally aired August 14, 2015. In the episode, Devon and Hilary's wedding ceremony was interrupted.

"Always," Devon repeated, and he said he'd never known what people had meant about finding their soul mates until he'd found her, since she was meant for him in every way. He said his heart raced whenever he looked at her, and she was the only person he saw when she stepped into a room. He proclaimed that he'd always adore her and need her, and there was nothing more important in the world to him than being a good husband and a man worthy of her faith. Devon promised to comfort and support Hilary, and he vowed to make sure she knew how much he cherished her every day they were together. He pledged his love to her, "always in all ways." The minister asked if anyone objected to the union, and all heads turned as someone walked in.
