Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, while Nick gets some clapback from his sister about putting some boundaries on his undefined relationship with Sharon, Phyllis isn’t having anyone hold her back — and she seems to be all in. Who is this woman? Nick was weirded out being around them last week when Sharon brought Phyllis a coffee, and they even had an inside joke to share. But it’s still happening. Sharon almost got up out of her seat to give Phyllis a hug when she saw her today, and Phyllis came thisclose to leaning in for it. They stopped themselves from touching, but the dialogue then went into a level of normalcy that they were way more comfortable with than the average viewer. Niceties and small talk aside, there seemed to be genuine…warmth there. And not because they were visualizing the other burning in hell, but because they seemed to actually be happy to see one another. And spend time together. And converse. It’s like an alt-universe that we need some time to process, thankyouverymuch. And here’s the thing…even if they are faking it, which it doesn’t seem they are, but old wounds run deep…they might not be done. Even if Phyllis and Sharon have gotten to a point of accepting each other’s major differences, Martin is still alive, Ian Ward was too the last time we saw him, and possibly Aunt Jordan for all we know. Will their truce last long enough to get them through their next crisis?
