On The Young and the Restless, Adam played dirty, and Victor's henchman scurried away from the launch party and wreaked havoc using Newman Media, so what can Billy do now?

If there is one thing we learned this week in Genoa City, it’s that Victor Newman doesn’t need high-tech AI to destroy his enemies; he just needs a son with a keyboard and daddy issues. The launch of Abbott Communications was supposed to be Billy Abbott's (Jason Thompson) and Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) big "I told you so" moment. Instead, it turned into a public relations funeral, courtesy of Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) perfectly timed hit piece on The Young and the Restless.

Let’s be honest: watching Billy scramble is usually my favorite pastime, but this time, the deck was stacked so unfairly it almost made me root for the guy. Almost.

So, where do the dynamic duo of dysfunction go from here? The launch party toast has gone stale, and the investors are fleeing faster than Diane Jenkins from a paternity test. If Billy and Sally want to save their baby business from the Newman shredder, they need to stop playing defense and start playing dirty.

Step 1: Embrace the Chaos (and Phyllis)

Rumor has it that Billy is considering a deal with the devil herself, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). My advice? Sign the contract in blood if you have to. Abbott Communications needs a bulldog, and nobody barks louder or bites harder than Red. Adam thinks he controls the narrative because he controls Newman Media. But Phyllis is a wild card. Let her leak the story that Victor’s attack wasn’t business—it was a personal vendetta against Jack (Peter Bergman). Paint the Newmans not as titans of industry, but as petty tyrants terrified of competition. If you can’t win on merit, win on martyrdom.

Step 2: The "Trojan Horse" Strategy

Sally Spectra knows how to sew a dress, but she needs to learn how to stitch up a wound. Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) is currently furious with Adam for going rogue. Sally needs to exploit that fracture. If she can get Chelsea to publicly distance herself—or better yet, leak proof that Adam was acting on Daddy’s orders—it delegitimizes the entire hit piece. Prove that the article wasn’t journalism; it was a hit job.

Step 3: Scorched Earth

If Billy really wants to hit back, he needs to stop trying to be "business Billy" and go back to "Gambler Billy." Victor attacked Jabot’s stability to hurt Abbott Comm. Billy should flip the script. Use his new media platform to launch an investigative series into the Newman family skeletons. God knows there are enough of them to fill a streaming service for a decade.

We are heading into 2026, folks. The time for taking the high road is over. Billy and Sally, grab your shovels. It’s time to bury the Mustache.
