Mild-mannered and calm Nick Newman took a backseat as we saw a much different version of Nick (Joshua Morrow), with a much-enjoyed change of pace. Nick and Sharon had been bedside with their son Noah, and Nick had kept it together and been a pillar of strength for Sharon (Sharon Case), helping her get through this “It’s just like Cassie all over again” scene. Then, finding out that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) was back, set Nick off. He immediately went to see Sienna (Tamara Braun) at the Shadow Room to get some answers, instead of seeing Sienna, Nick looked into the eyes of a most hated individual. Matt Clark.

Without even so much as a word, Nick grabs Matt by the shoulder spins him around and lands a massive hook right on his jaw sending him down. Sienna races in and the scene is incredible, Matt keeps ups the pretense of not being Matt and rather his role as Mitch Bucall. Nick isn’t buying it and tells the manin no uncertain terms that if he comes near him or his family he will kill him. Sienna puts herself between the two not understanding why Nick just socked her husband. The next week is going to be a good one, why was Noah having a car accident in the canyon that’s right where Sienna and ‘Mitch” live, the affair that we know about is going to have worlds collide, as it's a short list of people that would have wanted Noah taken out of action. And Howarth’s Matt Clark is at the top of that list.

Quote of the Week– Matt, “I should call the Police,” and Nick replied, “Great idea i have a hell of a story for them.”

It was great to see Nick dial it up this week and go from the great protector and a shoulder for Sharon in her time of need to being that force of nature and physical presence in the scene with Matt Clark.
