What happened on The Young and the Restless

With a short week on Y&R, we have to really focus on the wedding between Christine (Lauralee Bell) and Danny (Michael Damian). But which part? I liked the scene where Nina (Tricia Cast) and Amy (Valerie Pettiford)confronted Cane (Billy Flynn), but not so much that it was inappropriate for a public venue. But since when was it appropriate to only show what's appropriate on Y&R? Nina and Amy got to talk to the man who was there when both of their children were killed, and it was an emotional scene that really brought out some of the best acting from the people concerned.

Making it all the better was that it wasn’t over the top and shrill, and one of those cringeworthy scenes that I, for one, was expecting to blow up at any moment. Cane took it on the chin, and the ladies got off their chest what had been weighing heavily on them for such a long time now, and maybe this will help in the healing process for both of them. They apologized after dealing with it at the wedding. There were toasts, and Phyllis wanted to make one too, but before it became awkward or more uncomfortable, Amy took to the dancefloor and said it was time to dance. Esther (Kate Linder) wasn’t about to let Amy be the only one having some fun and announced that she wanted in on that, too.

Dancing ensued, and all was forgotten, and the focus went back on Christine, looking radiant in her dress, and Danny, looking dapper in his suit. The wedding was definitely one for the Y&R annals of history. Does anyone else notice how far Daniel's (Michael Graziadei) guitar skills have come since playing in the park with Tessa (Cait Fairbanks)? That lovely little riff at the end spoke to a lot of sessions maybe we didn’t get to see. Next week we are back from the holidays and back into a regular week on our favorite sudser.
