Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on The Young and the Restless

As a long-time fan of The Young and the Restless and, admittedly, Daniel Goddard as Cane Ashby, I’ll be the first to admit that I gave a heavy sigh when it was announced that Billy Flynn was the new Cane. Nothing against Mr. Flynn, in fact, I love him as Chad DiMera, but…like…this is Genoa City, and he should be in Salem, yanno? However, I will also be the first to admit that I stand corrected. There were several moments — when Cane would confidently clap back at TGVN, stand his ground with others, or just his whole, cool demeanor — when I noticed he was winning me over. But when he got tears in his eyes last week as he told Lily that he had a fear of failure, that was it — I was all in. Or so I thought. New week, new revelations. During today’s Cane-centric episode, I realized I had to break my own rule about YAPP’s being about the characters, never the actors. But he left me no choice. I couldn’t wait for a Performer of the Week or review article, this needed to be said today: Billy Flynn is Cane Ashby. How do we know? Because when he did those scenes with Tristan Rogers, that was Colin and Cane. And I can’t even imagine how, as an actor, he went into those scenes knowing the magnitude of them, not only with the show’s legacy and storyline history, but for the fans. Thank you, Billy Flynn…you've knocked this out of the park.
