Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless today, Billy Boy Abbott and sweet and innocent Claire showed their true colors. Billy stood his ground with Cane, refusing to turn on his family, but at the same time calling out his mom. While Phyllis saw that as Billy being “emotional and unfit for office,” Cane had a different take. Interestingly, Cane thought that Billy taking the time to go to a store, select a train as a gift, thinking that it’s something Cane would like, and wrapping it himself was a sure sign that Billy had some emotional depth he wasn’t aware of. Or still had. And that’s why, despite his attempts to change my mind sometimes, I’m still on TeamBilly. He is talked about and talked down to by almost everyone in Genoa City, but with all the forgiving they’ve given themselves over the years, he gets none. Victor even told him today that he should be dead…unnecessarily ruthless, even for him. But that attitude isn’t helping him any with his granddaughter. While lecturing Billy on how to be a better family member, Claire was telling Kyle (and reminding us) that she’s got another side to her, and Victor’s awakening it. Cold and ruthless mini-Victor about to emerge on the scene? Yes please. If Victor doesn’t play his cards right, Claire might be stomping the halls of Chancellor with Billy as her boss soon.
