Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:
What happened on The Young and the Restless
The last thing we were expecting on The Young and the Restless leading up to Christmas week was seeing a marriage in crisis. And the last couple we'd expect to see that happen with is Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). The two have been through so much, not only over the years, but in 2025 alone! The couple stuck by each other when they traveled to France and were essentially held prisoner at Cane's (Billy Flynn) chateau. Before that event, Victor threw Nikki a fabulous birthday party, gifting her with, among other things, a new car. We caught Nikki shooting Victor looks when she saw that he was up to his old ways. And she pointed out to him the folly of trying to keep Claire (Hayley Erin) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) apart. They were always going to survive every challenge, internally or externally, right? Maybe not. Nikki drew a line in the sand when it came to Victor's attack on Jack. Nikki was prepared to have Victor reject her demand that she lay off Jack or else she'd walk. The mustached mogul was all, "Hey! There's the door! It's on the other side of the ranch this time, but at least we can see it!" We're paraphrasing, but Victor's intent was clear. He's willing to let Nikki go, and he doesn't care if she goes right before the big holiday!
