Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:
What happened on The Young and the Restless

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is a keen strategist, but he's also a human being. How else to explain on The Young and the Restless, the mogul not jumping at Jack's (Peter Bergman) offer to trade Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) for the AI program? For starters, Victor doesn't need the AI program to take on anyone. He's got an unfair advantage against the Abbott patriarch and his family with Cane's (Billy Flynn) program. Victor's never needed an unfair edge to take on his enemies. Why should he need AI to go after Jack? A keen strategist would have traded the AI program for Matt Clark. We've seen how Victor deals with his enemies in the past. He threw Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) into a cell in his basement after her physical attacks on his family. This isn't the first time Victor's had the opportunity to eliminate the threat of Matt Clark once and for all. And yet...he's letting the opportunity pass him by. At least for now. What's going to happen if Matt regains his freedom from Jack? Victor places importance on family above all else. He must have something truly clever up his sleeve if he's risking Matt Clark being on the loose anytime soon. We like to think Victor loves his family more than he hates his enemies. Tune in tomorrow to see what happens next!
