Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:
What happened on The Young and the Restless

We ate our words today when we wondered why on The Young and the Restless, the Newmans never showed any of their hired muscle when dealing with back-from-the-dead foes like Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). Well, today they did when some security guards kept Matt and Annie Stewart (Catherine Kresge) from disposing of Sienna (Tamara Braun). But these guys must work half-days because they didn't stick around to help Nick (Joshua Morrow) escort Matt to wherever he was taking him, and that just might cost Nick his life! What was Victor (Eric Braeden) thinking when he let Nick drive off with Matt in his car alone? Do the Newmans order their zip ties from the same supply store that Wile E. Coyote used to purchase devices to trap the Road Runner? Matt squiggled around those zip ties, and at the end of the show had our beloved Nick by the neck, literally! The Newmans are supposed to be smarter than James Bond villains who devise traps for 007 that he fanagles his way out of. Well, now Matt has done the same thing. And we just know he's going to lord this over Victor and tell him how stupid he was for leaving his precious Nick alone with him. The Newmans had Matt exactly where they wanted him -- and then they set it up for the tables to be turned! Was it intelligent to count only on zip ties to keep Matt contained? No! That intelligence was artificial!
